Zero Guilt Drinks

Worried about calorie counts and still want to know how to enjoy a smoothie or milkshake without putting on those extra pounds? Well, here are some of the zero guilt drinks that you can enjoy at home without having to worry about weight gain.

Oats – Coffee Vanilla Shake

Ingredients

Oats – 27 gms
Water – 54 ml
Vanilla Whey powder – 20 gms
Coffee powder – 4 gms
Honey – 1 tablespoon
Skimmed milk – 300 ml

Preparation

  • Soak oats in water for about 6 – 7 hours.
  • Add the soaked oats Vanilla Whey powder, coffee powder, honey and skimmed milk to a blender.
  • Blend for 3 – 4 minutes.
  • Serve chilled

Iced Apple Green Tea

Ingredients

Green Tea leaves – 1 gm
Mint Leaves – 1 gm
Apple – 1
Orange – 1
Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon

Preparation

  • Add green tea leaves to 100 ml of water and boil for 1 minute
  • Strain and refrigerate the tea decoction.
  • Add mint leaves, peeled and deseeded apple, peeled and deseeded orange to a blender.
  • Blend for 1 minute and strain using muslin cloth.
  • Add the tea decoction and lemon juice to the strained mixture.
  • Mix and serve chilled.

Tropical Citrus Punch

Ingredients

Chopped pineapple – 150 gms
Orange – 1
Chopped carrot – 1
Ripe Banana – 1

Preparation

  • Add chopped pineapple, peeled and deseeded orange, chopped carrot to a blender and blend for 2 minutes.
  • Strain the blended mixture with a muslin cloth.
  • Add 1 chopped ripe banana to the strained juice and blend for 1 minute.
  • Serve chilled.

Apple – Walnut Shake

Oats – 27 gms
Chocolate Whey powder – 20 gms
Chopped Apple – 1 no.
Chopped Banana – 1 no.
Walnuts – 5 nos.
Honey – 2 tablespoons
Skimmed Milk – 280 ml

Preparation

  • Soak oats in water for 4 – 6 hours.
  • Add the soaked oats, chocolate whey powder, peeled and deseeded apple, peeled banana, walnuts, honey and skimmed milk to a blender.
  • Blend the ingredients for about 2 to 3 minutes until smooth
  • Top with chopped walnuts and serve chilled

Date – Banana Shake

Ingredients

Skimmed Milk – 100 ml
Deseeded dates – 72 gms
Chopped Banana – 10 gms

Preparation

  • Boil the skimmed milk with the deseeded dates in a pan
  • Add chopped banana, ice cubes and the date-milk mixture to a blender and blend until smooth.
  • Serve chilled.
