Here is an extract from the interview from – “Designer’s feature”.
Do you design with a certain type of bride in mind if it is a collection?
I am desist being repetitive. Every piece must enthuse the woman to wear it with confidence and make them the showstopper wherever they step in.
Bridal moments are a lifetime moment, and it is important that what they wear has a lasting impression in the minds of everyone present. It must also become the talking point as well as become a source of inspiration for others.
While I continue to create a desirable line of bridal saree collections, I also engage with brides and bridegroom collaboratively to create styles and designs they have envisioned.
Where do you look for trends and keep yourself updated with what brides are looking for today?
My passion is sarees. They were trending for generations and will continue to be trendsetters. For me what is important is to give my sarees a universal appeal and the go-to clothing for all occasions.
I am inspired by temple art, Indian heritage, architecture, nature, and festive moods.
What are the most important things brides should keep in mind when choosing their outfits?
Choose clothing that brightens your personality. Think fashion pieces that should seamlessly merge with the theme of the wedding and pick clothing’s which will make you walk with thumping confidence.
